FAQ
Q: How is off-road recovery different from regular towing?
A: Unlike conventional tow trucks that primarily operate on paved roads, we use specialized equipment, winches, and recovery gear designed specifically for backcountry and off-road situations.

Q: What areas do you service?
A: We are based in Calgary and service surrounding areas including Cochrane, Bragg Creek, Kananaskis, McLean Creek PLUZ, Waiparous/Ghost PLUZ, and surrounding backcountry and forestry roads. If you’re unsure whether you’re in our service area, contact us with your location details.

Q: Are you available 24/7?
A: Yes. Getting stuck doesn’t follow a schedule, especially in Alberta’s changing weather conditions. We offer 24/7 off-road recovery services.

Q: What types of vehicles do you recover?
A: We recover trucks, SUVs, cars, vans, side-by-sides (UTVs), and other light-duty vehicles. If you’re unsure whether we can recover your vehicle, contact us with the details and we’ll let you know.

Q: Will winching damage my vehicle?
A: When performed properly using rated recovery equipment and correct attachment points, winching is safe and controlled. We take every precaution to protect your vehicle during the recovery process. Existing damage prior to arrival will be documented.

Q: What if my vehicle doesn’t have recovery points?
A: If your vehicle does not have proper recovery points, we will assess safe attachment options. We strongly recommend installing rated recovery points if you frequently travel off-road.

Q: How much does off-road recovery cost?
A: Pricing depends on several factors including location, accessibility, time required, severity of the situation, and equipment needed. Because every recovery is different, we provide clear pricing once we understand your situation.

Q: What if I have no cell service?
A: If you anticipate limited cell service, we recommend sharing your trip plan with someone before heading out. If possible, send GPS coordinates when you do have signal. Satellite communication devices can also be extremely helpful in remote areas.

Q: Do you offer advice before I attempt self-recovery?
A: Yes. If you contact us before attempting self-recovery, we’re happy to provide general guidance. However, attempting improper recovery methods can cause significant vehicle damage or personal injury. When in doubt, it’s often safer to call a professional.
