How Our Journey Began
Collins Off-Road Recovery was founded by Nick Collins, combining a passion for off-roading with over seven years of hands-on vehicle recovery experience. Before starting the company, Nick served as a Vehicle Technician with the Canadian Armed Forces, where recovery operations were performed in demanding environments where reliability, safety, and quick problem-solving were essential.
Working in harsh weather, remote terrain, and unpredictable conditions helped build the experience and mindset that now drives every recovery operation at Collins Off-Road Recovery. After leaving the military, Nick brought that recovery knowledge to Southern Alberta to create a service focused on helping drivers in places traditional tow trucks often cannot reach.
What began as helping fellow off-roaders quickly grew into a trusted recovery service for drivers stuck on trails, backroads, job sites, and remote areas throughout Southern Alberta.
Today, Collins Off-Road Recovery is built on a simple approach: respond professionally, recover vehicles safely, and treat every call like it matters. Whether assisting a stranded traveler, recovering a work truck, or helping an off-road enthusiast get back on the trail, every recovery is handled with the same level of care, preparation, and respect for the situation.
