How Our Off-Road Journey Began
Nick Collins, founder of Collins Off-Road Recovery, brings a unique blend of military discipline, technical expertise, and over seven years of specialized, hands-on vehicle recovery experience to every job. As a former Vehicle Technician with the Canadian Armed Forces, Nick focused on recovery operations in high-pressure environments where getting equipment unstuck and back in service wasn’t optional—it was mission-critical. Working in harsh weather, remote locations, and unpredictable terrain, he developed a strong foundation in safe, efficient, and strategic recovery practices.

After retiring from the military, Nick brought that specialized skillset to Southern Alberta, founding Collins Off-Road Recovery to support drivers beyond the reach of traditional towing services. What started as a passion for off-roading and helping others has grown into a trusted service for those stuck on trails, backroads, job sites, and remote terrain.
